20210201 FDC Logica BooleanaAI is the now increasingly cleared acronym in the field of innovation to indicate “Artificial Intelligence”. But what do we mean when we talk about "intelligence"? .. and can this be "Artificial"? From the main dictionary we can read different definition on what it coul be intended for "Intelligence" but, as can see, we pass from definition strictly assigned to Man, to a more generic "process", up to a substantial inability to define the term (Wikipedia). At this point .. is it logical and correct to define a machine or software with Intelligence? A machine that is able to calculate billions of possibilities in a very short time and define in advance

the appropriate moves to win a game of chess .. can you define as intelligent as a talented player?

Can a machine that alone is able to perform incredible aerial evolutions by targeting through the processing of billions of variables, can be defined as "Intelligent" like a trained military pilot? Is a machine that is able to make in-depth medical diagnoses thanks to huge databases (Big Data) to be considered as intelligent as a doctor with proven experience? Can therefore be considered the capacity, the speed or the amount of calculation, Intelligence?

If all this had nothing to do with the ancient concept of human "intelligence" then, what could be so surprising and so reproducible in an "artificial" way to bypass us more and more systematically in the performance of some of our functions? Intelligence is probably one of those terms to which perhaps once it was easier to define, but today, and more and more in the future, this definition will no longer be so obvious. The mere fact that the major sources most consulted today are in divergence with each other demonstrates that the very concept of Intelligence today is increasingly questioned.

On the other hand, to define until today what still largely governs the majority of "machines" or computer systems beyond the underlying software or algorithms is currently much simpler (.. at least until now). Anyone who has done a minimum of computer programming course knows, it was called "Boolean Logic", now transformed into "Fuzzy Logic". Logic ... Not Intelligence !! And Boolean logic has its syntax, its structure, its inputs and its outputs. Speaking of "Artificial Intelligence" at the moment, however much it is being widely pushed into the mainstream, is to be considered at least misleading even if it has a captivating media effect.

And while intelligence therefore seems to remain, for the moment, a purely human characteristic, the logical processing of data by the machine is breaking down continuous goals day after day. We are thus witnessing to a mocking asymmetry where, while the machines that initially arose from what we could define as the "last sparks" of human intelligence are progressing at full speed towards the path of enlightenment, the human intelligence that led Homo Sapiens, from caveman to curious walker on the lunar soil, today it is in fact dormant, to allow the same man to be able to communicate with the machine that he himself created. The day when the machine will really be able to develop its own even in a primitive form a Real Intelligence, artificial or para-artificial intelligence (as what it was once remembered to be a purely human faculty), will start the moment in which the human being, either he will be ready to change his species or ... (the conclusion to you) ... and it seems, we won't have to wait long.
